The United Kingdom of Great Britain (a union that’s over 300 years old), is a constitutional monarchy made up by four countries: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
I’ve only been to England and Scotland, fell deeply in love with the later.
London and Edinburgh are both different and fascinating in their own way; however, the one and only which stole my heart forever was Inverness, the capital of the highlands.
While sightseeing, I collected a lot of fun/weird anecdotes, tons of photos and videos of astonishing places, and useful tips for popular and unknown spots.
When I first went to England, back in 2011, I was 5 months pregnant, and taking one-month scholarship abroad in Plymouth. A month a half later, with a 6-month pregnancy and studying, I had managed to be in 11 cities, and I can proudly say I got to know them properly, though I wish I had spent more time in some of them.
This year, my partner in life and I went on a road trip through Scotland.
There are no words to describe this country; Scotland left us speechless. If you ever have the opportunity to visit this place, go for it. It’s definitely one of those places where you have to be at least once.
Further adventures will take me to Ireland and Wales, both on my list. Maybe when I retire and get to live in Inverness. Maybe earlier. Who knows…
